Olympic horse Flying Finish to replace Headley Britannia at first round of Express Eventing - 26 October 2012

Lucinda Fredericks has announced that fans of Headley Britannia must wait a little while longer before seeing the ever popular mare back competing.

The famous little mare has surprisingly thrown a splint at the age of nineteen!

Speaking today, Lucinda Fredericks said ‘’It appeared a couple of weeks ago and we are icing it, but she is not one to miss two weeks work and then go to an event – I wouldn’t do that to her. Hopefully, she will appear at future rounds of the Series during 2013, but in the meantime I will ride Flying Finish who is fit and raring to go!’’

The Express Eventing Series 2012-13 will see seven Team Principals select a second athlete to ride with them in a slightly revised competition. Each will earn points towards a Team and Individual Championship at rounds throughout the Series which will culminate in a ‘double points’ final at a high profile event in the Autumn of 2013. Confirmed Team Principals are Mark Todd, Sam Griffiths, Fiona Hobby, Harry Meade, Matthew Wright, Oliver Townend and Lucinda Fredericks.

Limited tickets are also available for the Express Eventing Gala Dinner where Yogi Breisner will be the after dinner speaker. This will be held at Hilton, Docklands, Riverside, London SE16 5HW on Saturday 17th November 2012.

Tickets for the competition and dinner can be purchased at www.expresseventing.co.uk and www.horseworldlive.com
